This Privacy Policy describes how Notist ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Notist is a completely offline application. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. All notes, text, and content you create are stored locally on your device and never leave it. We have no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no account system. Your data is entirely yours.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Understand how users interact with our features
- Send important service-related notifications
- Respond to support requests
3. Data Storage and Security
Your notes are stored locally on your device by default. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data transmitted to our servers, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
The App offers optional security features including N-Pin protection and biometric authentication to safeguard your notes on your device.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with trusted partners for analytics purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
5. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for analytics and crash reporting. These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Notes deleted within the App are moved to the Bin and automatically permanently deleted based on your auto-delete settings (configurable from 1 to 30 days). You can manually empty the Bin at any time.
If you delete your account, all associated data on our servers will be permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Export your notes from the App
- Opt out of analytics data collection
- Withdraw consent at any time
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
